Hamburg, Germany - June 20th to 23rd, 2010

Dear Colleagues,

it is my pleasure to invite you to Hamburg to participate in the 78th European
Atherosclerosis Society Congress held from the 20th to the 23rd of June, 2010. It is
my great honor to serve as its chairperson, and I am happy to supply you with the
attached announcement and the link to the Congress homepage
(www.kenes.com/eas).

First of all, I would like to draw your attention to the extremely low registration fee
for students as well as EAS members (especially since the membership fee for new
members of the EAS is waived in 2009 - see EAS homepage, www.eas‐society.org).

We would be delighted to welcome you and your co‐workers to Hamburg in order
to update on the most recent findings in the field of atherosclerosis.

With our Congress, we are especially aiming at promoting young scientists to
present their findings and ideas to the international participants. Therefore, we
decided to put special emphasis on the two extended Poster Sessions. They will
include a light buffet served in the poster area to attract all participants to join in
on lively discussions about the results displayed. There will be no parallel sessions,
but guided presentations of the most interesting posters selected from the
abstracts. Additionally, we encourage all young colleagues under and including the
age of 40 to take part in the Poster Award Competition.

Together with my whole team I am looking forward to welcome you to the
beautiful city of Hamburg and to having stimulating discussions, new insights and a
fruitful scientific exchange!
